Has anyone else noticed that fall has become the new summer for weddings? From September through November we are completely slammed sometimes with three weddings in a weekend and then engagement shoots filling in any time we have in between. That being said, I completely understand the appeal in fact we had our own wedding during the same time! The cooler temperatures, the beautiful colors and the general coziness with food and drink that go along with fall is amazing as well!
Tatijana and Steve saw the same attractiveness with a fall wedding and was well on their way to planning it when we first met them in February 2016. Tatijana is one of the most organized brides I have met but somehow still relaxed as she planned a fairytale wedding.
We first really got to know this couple during their engagement shoot that April around Boston. Although it was rainy and overcast on that day, they didn't let it get the way of a wonderful session! (check it out here) One of the best things about doing engagement sessions with our clients is that we really develop a relationship with them before the big day, making the wedding day even more fun for us and relaxed for them!
Luckily on their wedding day we didn't have the same challenges as their engagement session and the day ran smoothly! They had opted for a traditional wedding, waiting until Tatijana walked down the aisle before Steve got to see his beautiful bride.
There is always a reaction from the groom as his soon to be bride walks down the aisle, but it's even better without it! Although, Steve tried to shy away from his emotions and hold them in I was still able to capture his overwhelming love for Tatijana!
Tatijana made an unbelievably, stunning bride! When she walked into the church and the natural light flooded in, perfectly highlighting her love, excitement and anticipation it somehow made her look even more beautiful.
Their full mass ceremony at St. Ann's Church was so moving and before we knew it they were ecstatically recessing out of the church as husband and wife and on our way to take wedding party photos!
The wedding party was ready for their close ups and were such troopers as the ladies somehow hiked up the rocks with their heels and long dresses!
Our final stop was the Cruiseport Gloucester for shots with the newlyweds in the ship yard! We absolutely love the contrast between the white wedding dress (or blush in this case), the tux and then the grittiness of the ship yard makes for an amazing backdrop for an editorial shoot!
We loved spending the day with this amazing couple and their friends and family, thank you for allowing us to document your day and being so patient through the crazy season!
