When we tell people we are wedding photographers, the most common response we get is, "Oh my gosh that must be so fun! You get to hang out and have fun at weddings every weekend!". Most people don't understand the many struggles of this passion we live. The countless timelines that seem to go out the window, the next day wedding hang overs from not drinking at the receptions, but instead never sitting down, or getting a chance to drink water! The list goes on and on, that being said we still wouldn't trade it for the world!
This weekend though, it was an incredible change to be shooting a wedding that DID understand all of those struggles because they are wedding photographers as well!!! Dave and Kerri chose to get married in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and we were the lucky ones that were blessed to document the day. Not only were we blessed, but incredibly humbled and honored. To have fellow artists that not only like your work, but trust you on such a huge day is more than flattering!
The day ran so smoothly and although a little chilly, Kerri was prepared with the most gorgeous cape that was actually her first purchase, even before the dress! Walking through Portsmouth after their first look was a blast, laughing and joking the whole time. It was so easy, especially since it seemed as if they knew each shot we were going for as soon as we started to pose them so we were able to shoot quickly and get back to the heat of the hotel. The couple was able to relax and warm up before we watched them exchange vows in front of their family and friends. It was a beautiful ceremony with the most perfect soul mates and the party afterward at Mombo Restaurant was a great way to top off a fabulous day. Thank you both again for choosing us with such a honor, we love you guys!

If you were to ask either of us what we have found with each other, you’d get the exact same answer. “I love that I have someone who I can share my love of photography with. My love of travel. My love of baseball. My love of adventure. I have found My Person and it’s an amazing feeling.”
Yes, it all started at a photography conference. And it built into an amazing friendship. And it developed into the kind of relationship neither of us had ever dreamed we could have. We both know that after a lifetime of searching, we have each finally found the one we are supposed to be with. We have found the person we can be ourselves with, let our guards down with, laugh with, plan with, dream with, and work with.
