I feel like we have been looking forward to this wedding forever! Christine first came in to meet with us without Ricky if I remember correctly, so you would think that we wouldn't really get to know him as well. But....they chose to do a very unique engagement session. Since they absolutely love Martha's Vineyard, and try to go every summer they had decided they also wanted to incorporate that in their session. Since it is further out we just decided to do a "Day in the Life" style engagement shoot. We met them that morning and not only had the drive to and from the ferry, but also an entire day of shooting on the island and lunch to get to know this fun loving couple! They were so cute I can't even take it! We ended that session on the same beach that Ricky had proposed to Christine on at sunset, it was perfect!
If you want to take a look at that incredible shoot you can find it here!
Fast forward to almost a year later and their wedding day was finally here! They had their wedding and reception at the Pavilion PineHills Golf Club in Plymouth, which is one of our favorite venues to work at! Not only is the venue breathtaking, but the staff is so incredible! They go out of their way to make it easy on the couple and the vendors too, which always helps!
Christine got ready at the serene Mirabeau Inn, which as soon as we saw it, quickly was added to my weekend staycation list of places to go! The rooms were gorgeous and we had plenty of places to shoot Christine while she primped for her soon to be groom to see her at their first look!
Ricky didn't need to get ready at the hotel, because the super masculine look of dark wood and tufted chairs that the PineHills locker room offered made for a perfect spot! You have to check out the surprise gift that Christine had gotten him! Custom lining of his suit filled with pics of the two of them!
It was finally time for the two love birds to see each other! We used the lush landscaping to shield Ricky from seeing Christine until he turned a corner and the surprise, laughter and happiness that they both had was infectious!
From there, we all hopped in golf carts and like a parade, we were off to take some pictures of the happy couple! The rain held off for the most part, as we used the beautiful landscape to create some pictures before tucking them away before the ceremony.
The time had finally come that everyone was waiting for! The love and emotion was so touching and everyone was so entranced watching them, that we all almost forgot about the rain that had started right outside of the tent!
I thought they had a great idea for their recession, a golf cart was waiting as they jumped in and got to spend their first few minutes as husband and wife before snapping a few more pictures, having some champagne and finally heading back for cocktail hour and to get the party started! We are so happy for you both! Above is the day of slideshow we showed at the reception and make sure you check below to see all of the kick ass vendors that helped with their day! Congrats again!
